The Wedding Landy: Lavender, Lakeside & Live Sax
There are impressive places to get married, and then there is Norwich Cathedral…
Beneath its soaring stone arches, surrounded by centuries of history and a wonderful gathering of family and friends, A&A exchanged their vows in truly magnificent surroundings.
Lady T had been kept carefully out of sight before the ceremony, ready to surprise the newlyweds as they stepped through the Cathedral doors. Dressed for the occasion in delicate lavender ribbons and bows — all handmade by The Wedding Landy team — she waited beneath the Cathedral spire to whisk them away.
With two bright red Routemaster buses waiting to transport their guests, the scene outside was wonderfully British. However, it was Lady T who had the privilege of carrying the newlyweds away from the Cathedral and through the Norfolk countryside to their North Norfolk reception.
The private gardens made a beautiful setting for the celebrations, with an elegant marquee overlooking the lake. As daylight softened into evening, the newlyweds took a quiet walk across the lawns before returning to a party that continued late into the night.
Providing the soundtrack was the brilliant DJ Josh Roberts, who had also played at the Groom’s 21st birthday. It was rather special to have him return for another milestone celebration — this time, their wedding day!
Josh mixed the music with live percussion and was joined by a talented saxophonist, bringing the dance floor to life with a fantastic combination of DJ sets, drums and live saxophone. With the marquee glowing, firepits burning beside the lake and music drifting across the gardens, it was certainly a night to remember.
The beauty and atmosphere of the day were captured wonderfully by James Rouse, whose photography and sweeping drone imagery showed everything from the grandeur of Norwich Cathedral to the celebrations beneath the evening sky.
Huge congratulations to A&A. From lavender ribbons and Cathedral splendour to live saxophone and lakeside dancing, it was a truly fabulous day!
